Amazon publishes the KENP per-page rate every month, as the KDP Select Global Fund divided by all pages read. It is not fixed and it drifts. The default 0.00450 is a representative recent US value shown as an example as of August 2026. Check your KDP dashboard for this month’s actual rate and set it here. This tool never fetches the rate and never treats it as official.

The KENP rate is a number you set from Amazon’s monthly KDP figure, not a scraped or official number.
Pages read is borrows times KENPC times read-through. Payout is pages read times the rate you entered. That is the whole model.

Read-through is the single input you know the least, so the payout moves with it. These three rows show how far the estimate swings.
The copied summary and the PNG both carry the note that the rate is a value you enter, not an official figure, so the estimate is never mistaken for a promise.
Amazon does not pay Kindle Unlimited authors per borrow. It pays per page read, and the rate for one page is set fresh every month. Amazon takes the KDP Select Global Fund for the month and divides it by every page every KU reader turned, so the number moves with how much other authors were read. It has hovered near four-tenths of a cent to half a cent per page for years, but it is never a fixed figure.
That is why this tool asks you to type the rate. The default is a plausible recent example, dated so you know how old it is. The real number for this month is on your KDP dashboard the day the payment report lands. We never fetch it, and we never present it as official. You set it, and the estimate is only as current as the number you enter.
KENPC is the Kindle Edition Normalized Page Count, Amazon’s own page measure for a KU title. Open your KDP Bookshelf, find the book, and look under Promote and Advertise, or on the book’s detail line, for the KENPC v3.0 figure. It is usually larger than your print page count because it counts normalized pages, not paper ones. Use that number here, not the print length.
