Everything WriteIDE can do

Point-in-time stat tracking is the core. Around it is a full progression-fantasy studio: Canon for your world terms, spellcheck that understands invented names, publishing that ships chapter-accurate stats anywhere, and optional AI on the way. Free, local-first, and yours.

Point-in-time stat tracking

Your stats are correct at every scene.

Two-axis tracking
Story position versus insertion time. Buff your hero in Chapter 50 and Chapter 3's status screen stays correct, so you never rewrite forty chapters of stat blocks.
Snapshot-locked stat blocks
A /statblock is stamped to its scene and never retroactively changes when you edit the character later.
Timeline Scrubber
Drag a jade-gem slider across a character's entire power curve to see stats, gear, skills, quests and relationships at any scene.
Spoiler Shield (Reader Lens)
Pin a sheet to a reader's position and see only what they would know, so you never reference a reveal they have not reached.
Series continuity across books
Books in a project share one timeline: stats, inventory and Canon carry straight into Book 2, so a sequel starts exactly where the last book ended.
Event-sourced audit trail
Every STR point, skill level and quest beat is tied to the scene it happened in.
Automatic continuity flagging
Catches a stat that silently drops or breaks its cap before a reader does. Free, deterministic, no AI.

Build any progression system

D&D, cultivation, ranks, or fully custom.

5 built-in templates
D&D, Cultivation realms, Tier ranks, Skill-Based, and a blank Custom, applied in one click.
Derived-stat formula engine
HP = VIT*10 + Level*5 recalculates itself and stays correct even when you scrub to a past scene.
Per-level auto-growth
Define the curve once (STR +2/level, Qi +10/level) and every level-up does the math for you.
Equipment, set & buff stacking
Genre-correct "Strength: 24 (39)" base-vs-equipped breakdowns.
Custom rarity tiers
Genre templates (S-Ranks, cultivation grades) with one-click migration of existing items.
Visual builder + validator
A visual template builder, a formula validator, and shareable .witemplate import and export.

Canon & World Terms

Your invented world becomes part of the editor.

Canon registry
Characters, items, skills, locations, NPCs, creatures, factions and quests share one source of truth, instead of scattering names across separate lists.
Right-click Canon actions
Select text in the manuscript and add it to Canon, link it to an existing entry, save an alias, create an event, or leave a comment without leaving the scene.
Alias-aware scene scanner
'The Crimson Knight', 'Éowyn', and 'my lord' can resolve to the right Canon entry, with whole-word matching designed to avoid false hits inside other words.
World-aware spellcheck
The editor combines native spelling suggestions with WriteIDE World Terms, so invented names can be suggested from Canon and added to the native dictionary where the platform supports it.
Unified spelling + Canon menu
A misspelled world term and a new lore entry use the same right-click surface: fix spelling, use a Canon term, or promote the text into your world bible.
Point-in-time mentions
Canon mentions are tied to scenes, so a character, item, faction or quest can be understood in the story position where it appears.

Worldbuilding

Build the world around the Canon.

Relationship graph
Map who knows whom with point-in-time replay and a free, rule-based inconsistency detector, so the social web stays consistent as the cast grows.
Characters, NPCs and creatures
Keep main characters, lightweight NPCs and stat-backed monsters separate where they need different data, while Canon keeps their names and mentions unified.
Items, skills and locations
Track loot, abilities, places and aliases as first-class world terms, so the manuscript and the reference material stay connected.
Story events and annotations
Capture timeline beats and editorial notes from highlighted prose, then connect them back to the scene they came from.
Faction ecosystem generatorComing soon
Generate guilds, kingdoms and rivalries with balance validation, plus plot hooks drawn from the tensions in your world.
Magic-system builderComing soon
A guided builder that will not ship a system with zero limitations, the usual cause of broken power scaling.

A LitRPG-native editor

Run your stat engine without leaving the page.

Real document nodes
Blue-box [System] messages, stat blocks and quest blocks, inserted via slash commands right where they happen.
Keyboard-first command palette
@mention autocomplete and a frecency-ranked slash palette, so you can run your whole stat and quest engine without the mouse.
Natural-language /loot
'Iron Sword, Steel Helmet, 50 Gold' parses, matches items, and updates the inventory and the prose together.
Smart auto-targeting
'/level' after writing about Kael just levels Kael, with no picker.
Scrivenings and Focus Mode
Write a whole chapter as one flow with protected scene breaks, a distraction-free mode, and crash-safe auto-save.
